Best Cloth Diaper Sprayers For A Quick Clean Up (2020 Guide)
If you’ve chosen to use cloth diapers, good for you! You must be very eco-savvy and organic.
There is nothing better for your baby’s bum than all natural cloth, when it comes to diapering.
Fortunately, cloth diapers are very affordable and safe, but unfortunately, they are messy and can be difficult to clean.
Don’t fret!
Consider using a cloth diaper sprayer to really protect your investment, and keep your cloth diapers looking as good as new.
Important Features to Consider
When shopping around for a cloth diaper sprayer, I found the following features helpful and feel they are a must have or be:
Powerful. You need a diaper sprayer that is going to be able to rinse off and remove stubborn “debris.” So, you need to make sure the sprayer you select has a powerful, yet adjustable pressure spray to do so.
Ease of attachment. Sprayers attach to the side of your toilet. The last thing you want to do is fumble around with something that could leak or be difficult to attach. Make sure whatever sprayer you select comes with the proper hardware to make attaching it to your toilet, and mounting it there a breeze.
Easy to hold. Your hands are going to be a bit tied up when you try to wash out the cloth, and manipulate the sprayer. Look for something that makes doing this a snap and that has a thumb control that is simple to press. You also want something that is long enough so you can position it above your toilet and the cloth as you please.
Durable. If a sprayer feels too light weight or unsteady in your hands, chances are it’s not a high quality, durable sprayer. It’s wise to spend the extra bucks and get something made out of a durable material that is constructed well to avoid leaks and any kind of nozzle breakage.
Best Diaper Sprayers
#1. Bumworks Cloth Diaper Sprayer
The Bumworks Cloth Diaper Sprayer is my favorite by far. It’s priced affordably (click here to check the price on Amazon), and made of very high quality.
It has a powerful spray that really breaks up any kind of left-over “stuff” hanging around on the cloth diaper.
I never had to use my hands or dip the diaper into the toilet because I always got a great rinse from the sprayer.
The Bumworks was so easy to attach, I could do it without my husband’s help (it fits pretty much any toilet fixture that is considered standard, or 7/8 inch).
The sprayer kit includes a brass chrome bidet, a metal hose, a T-valve, and a mounting clip adapter so it can easily sit on the side of your toilet.
It never looked gaudy, and it never leaked!
Another favorite of mine, the SmarterFresh Cloth Diaper Sprayer (click here to check the price on Amazon) cleans off soiled diapers fast.
Again, you don’t have to swish the diaper with your hands in the toilet. It has a spray that is totally adjustable.
So, you can get a gentle rinse or utilize a jet spray for tough residue removal.
It too is priced affordably and it comes with similar hardware as the Bumworks (T-valve adapter, sprayer hose, hook holder).
The SmarterFresh is very easy to install and it even comes with a one year warranty in case something goes awry.
I also like how a sprayer gives you dual purposes.
Besides cleaning off a cloth diaper, you can use it as a bidet sprayer, a shower sprayer, or even a potty seat cleaner in order to years of use out of it.
Priced on the higher end (click here to check the price on Amazon), you may want to consider spending the extra bucks for this bad boy!
The RinseWorks – Patented Aquaus 360 Diaper Sprayer is a super powerful sprayer that is very easy to hold and handle.
Not only does it come with a three year warranty, it is impact resistant (let’s face it, your toddler will want to play with it), bacteria resistant, and chrome finished.
The kit comes with everything the other kits do, just not the three year warranty.
It is a bit smaller than the other sprayers, making it a little less noticeable as it sits mounted to your toilet than the others.
Its patent pending design makes it unique because a lot of time and effort was put into every aspect of the hose—from its outer components to its inner components (braided polymer inner hose).
#4. Spray Pal Cloth Diaper Sprayer
Ok, so the Spray Pal (click here to check the price on Amazon) is not a sprayer, but it is an important accessory I want to mention.
While it’s not mandatory by any means, a splatter shield is nice.
I found that sometimes because the sprayers have such a high (yet effective) pressure spray, some “particles” tend to splatter around, which is the last thing that you want.
So, the Spray Pal has a patented design to prevent this from happening.
In addition to preventing a mess, I’ve found that it doesn’t take up a lot of space (it folds up flat), it’s easy to clean, and I use it to squeeze out excess water before carrying the diapers to my laundry room.
Wrapping Up
While a cloth diaper sprayer is not necessary, it absolutely does make life easier.
And, with that said, I’m so glad I got one!
It came especially handy when my son began to potty train, and even for cleaning my toilet.
Each of these items and accessories above are highly effective, highly rated, and are my top suggestions!
